I Don’t Care How AI Works

I could care less how artificial intelligence works. I just want to use it to be a more efficient and better business person and lawyer. I want it to be so easy to use that a four year old, without a care in the world, can use it to learn, play games, write stories and help with drawing amazing pictures.

Think about our cars, for example. We don’t need to know how the engine functions or how the gears work to be able to drive them, right? And yet, our cars get us from one place to another with ease and efficiency. The same goes for artificial intelligence.

As a business person and lawyer, I sometimes feel intimidated by the thought of using artificial intelligence. Sometimes I think I need to have a deeper understanding of how it works in order to reap its benefits.

But here’s the deal, I immediately check myself because that’s just not the case. I don’t need to be a computer scientist or an engineer to use artificial intelligence effectively in my law practice. Sure, I always need to do my due diligence but it’s a powerful tool that’s already helping me add more value to my clients.

Just like when I walk into a room and flip the light switch, all I care about is that the lights come on. I don’t need to know how electricity is generated, how it got to my office, or how the building and switch are wired to make it all happen. All I need to know is that when I flip the switch the lights will come on.

I have the same mindset when it comes to artificial intelligence. I don’t need to know the inner workings of the technology to use it and benefit from it.

This end-result mindset works best for most of us who are not coders, tech engineers, or scientists. It allows me to get things done instead of trying to figure things out that have nothing to do with helping my clients or putting food on the table.

I believe that by embracing artificial intelligence, we can all increase our efficiency, reduce our workload, and stay ahead of the curve at work, play, and while living our everyday lives.

So why not embrace that inquisitive nature we all had each day when we were young kids? Why not give artificial intelligence a try?

Take your time, watch out for the digital broccoli and enjoy this next phase of technology and life.
